Five NYPD Cops Involved In Road Rage Attack On SUV Driver

The New York Police Department has a big black eye after a local ABC News affiliate in New York has reported that at least five off-duty police officers were among the group of motorcycle riders who relentlessly pursued and harassed the driver of an SUV during a bike ride before pulling him from his vehicle when it stopped in traffic in Manhattan and beat him in front of his family. At least two of the officers witnessed the beating and failed to intervene according to the report. One of the police officers, a detective, reportedly claimed he didn't intervene because he didn't want to blow his cover.
