Hancock County Coroner Crystel Myers
It was just a little more than two years ago when Hancock County's coroner, Tamara Vangundy, faced criminal charges that resulted in her removal from office after she showed up intoxicated at a death investigation scene. Now her successor, Crystel Myers, has been arrested on theft charges. The 30-year Myers and a 21-year old man, Jordan Rose, are accused of stealing several items from a Walmart, including an Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo DS according to WRTV. Police say the stolen items were recovered from Myers' home in Greenfield.

Exactly why there should be a regional Medical Examiner system in Indiana. It's a JOKE than anyone off the street can be elected Coroner. Marion County proved that well with the Ackles debacle.
