Boss Hoggs political office is just BARELY in Marion county. 96th street is the dividing line between Marion and Hamilton county. These shenanigans tell me he is just like all the others. Those preoccupied with self interest (narcissism) see things myopically but "clearly" in their own terms; a pathologic atrophy of conscience, whereby they easily convince themselves that they're "right." There's nothing "transparent" about the alignment of perversely obscured interests; preying on the public trust & treasury; skirting known & best practices of requisite disclosure. Obscured interest is the handmaiden of a hidden agenda & therefore in direct conflict with public interest.

It's time to fill in a few blanks. These night mayors cease when _______.

Superb article. This old rich white guy Hogsett is very much an insider but it really does not matter who is elected mayor. The Democrat Hogster will become even richer or Brewer will begin growing personal wealth and chits for future perks. It is the corrupt attorneys who run this town... hell, corrupt attorneys run a great deal beyond "this town"... who will decide what will occur. It does not even matter who becomes your Councilor.

For anyone with eyes open or brains working, Republican Greg Ballard's corrupt Vision Fleet and corrupt Blue Indy monopoly proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that The Indianapolis City Council has no power and that the Council is unneeded in this day and age of Emperor Mayors put up by corrupt attorney politicians. Vision Fleet and Blue Indy proved that the City County Council is little more than a figurehead group so that voters think they have a connection to power when Blue Indy proved the people are as powerless as their Councilors in making a megalomaniacal mayor follow law.

Voting is an exercise in futility and I refuse to have any part in continuing the charade.
