There is no way you shoot Bin Laden, even an armed Bin Laden. Capturing him alive is as important an intelligence mission as taking that U-Boat with the Enigma cipher.

The only way you kill Bin Laden is if you don't want the world to hear what he might say, or if the body double we've been keeping on our payroll should not look like a convincing fake on close examination.

Then, you fly him over 1,000 miles to the Carl Vinson, and dump him in the sea? Further, how did they get to the Carl Vinson? 1000 miles is beyond the helicopter's maximum range. Refueling would have been necessary. If they're going to refuel as a US base, why not offload Bin Laden at that US base?

By the way, why was DNA testing necessary? If they weren't sure he was Bin Laden, why was he shot? Could they have shot Paul Ogden, on the probability it was Bin Laden? The DNA testing is quite odd.

I think it is illogical to believe a government caught lying so often. When trust is broken even truths are no longer believed.
