As a gay American, I am extremely dismayed that your company caved into the religious extremism from some individuals.

By removing your support of the upcoming Pride Festival, your company has set an example that it condones bigotry, discrimination, and homophobia.

By ending your support for this pride event, you have caused a great disservice to your loyal customers who accept the GLBT community as outstanding Americans. At a time where your dealership should be celebrating diversity, you have chosen to divide.

No matter how you try to put a positive spin on this situation youonly managed to solidify your dealerships actions as hateful, hurtful, and divisive.

I ask that your dealership do the right thing and celebrate along side the GLBT community during their community strengthening pride celebrations. Show the right-wing extremists that their discriminatory practices are wrong for business and your store's reputation. I ask that you become one of the highest sponsors of this great event and prove that Don Hinds Ford stands for diversity, integrity and above all united with its surrounding community, no matter what.
