The e-mail she shared with the reporter was what she described as a "distasteful political joke." One of the recipients of the e-mail Schneider identified was Kathleen DeLaney. I met Ann back in the early 90s. Believe it or not she was doing the Indiana Week In Review show that long ago. I told her I enjoyed watching her spar with Rex Early. She said as only she could, "You obviously don't have a social life if you have time to watch the show" and then walked away. Yeah--you really are a ..... I thought. She's dissed more people than you can fit in an auditorium so she should expect those kind of comments by this point.<BR/><BR/>Why even mention the DeLaneys? By the DeLaneys being tied to this lawsuit, it's going to allow Schneider to portray this as a partisan cabal to get her. That may be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective. That's not to take anything away from their lawyering skills as both mother and daughter are very capable attorneys.Gary R. Come on, Gary, you're better than that; wasn't that an unnecessarily snide description?<BR/><BR/>Plus, I think she only lost twice: Lt. Gov in '84 (first woman on a statewide ticket, right?)and in the old 10th Congressional District primary race to replace Andy Jacobs, if memory serves correctly.<BR/><BR/>By the way, I don't really know Ann; I just wish we'd all aspire a bit more to civility from time to time.
