Ballard could easily win the governorship. I have Republican friends, many of whom have painted this picture in their mind that somehow they're Libertarian constitutionalists, and they all think the guy walks on water. It's sad to think that grown adults can be so stupid, but they can and are.

But the fact that Hogsett not only won, but won by a landslide, seems to indicate that for the few people that bothered to show up to vote, it was more of a (quiet) referendum on Ballard than anything.

Ballard being the Ex-Marine probably thought the Council were the enlisted men and woman. Ballard's Generals (The Shadow Government) gave him the orders and he expected the Enlisted Mean and Woman to follow his orders.

I would not get very excited about bipartisan meetings. They are meaningless photo-ops. The McMega-Media will be all excited about these photo-ops as proof the system works. My consolation regarding Ballard is to have recently heard my very politically connected buddy (with both "R" and "D" power brokers) respond to me regarding my queries that the ex-soldier thought he could run for State-wide office and actually win. My friend quickly stated that is not going to occur because Greg Ballard is now unelectable. There IS a God after all.
