I remember seeing a lady getting in her car a few years ago down the street with about two dozen cats clinging at her feet and all about her car. The only cats I see now are the ones my neighbors let out to play.&lt;/B&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;If I recall, you live downtown.  I know the reason for the missing feral cats.  A few years ago, a few foxes appeared down by IUPUI.  The feral cat population in that area disappeared.  About a year ago, the foxes were around the Channel 8 building. The only cats I see now are the ones my neighbors let out to play. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;anon 11:16, I have come to respect cats as being much smarter than I used to give them credit for being. Growing up on a farm, we always favored dogs over cats, although we always had plenty of cats around because there were so many mice to feed on. Their personalities can be human-like to the point of being a little eerie. I know some cats don&#39;t like being held, but mine are quite the opposite. They expect to be held, and they love being held like babies. It&#39;s almost like their way of being reassured you to still love them. Si...</title><content type='html'>Are wild cats still a big problem in the city?  Since I don&#39;t work nights much anymore, I don&#39;t see them as often.  I have seen feral cats out where I live (Hancock Co.).  The one cat finally moved down the street I think (maybe those people feed them).  Feral cats shouldn&#39;t be a problem too much longer.  Coyotes are on the rise in the suburbs, at least one has been seen in the Irvington area. My condo forbids animals over 15 lbs., which is meant to preclude loud dogs.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;So I got two cats.  Their presonalities are incredible.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Amazing creatures.
