Why don't we talk about this...an indiana police officer died this week at the hands of someone who never should of been on the streets (suspect helped chop up a murdered mans body in 1998)...pointing out when the police make mistakes is fine...but ignoring their dedication to duty is another mistake

You don't mess around with the big law firms in Indy. Party affiliations have little to no power when the questionable (a nice name for illegal activities) business practices are well covered by the properly connected law firm.

Not at all, Indy4u2C. If you were trying to help the Democrats, you would have pursued this investigation with far more vigor. If pursued to its natural end, it would have unraveled a major scandal within the Ballard-run IMPD that would have sunk any chance he had of being re-elected. Curry saved Ballard from a major scandal. The question you should be asking is: Why? I'm wondering if Joe Hogsett will join in the action in not pursuing the Lincoln Plowman matter through to its natural end and save Ballard from yet another major scandal during his re-election. Melina Kennedy should be wondering who her friends are within the Democratic Party.

In Indy, nothing happens unless the cops get their cut.

If Curry does accept this money, it should go to a Public Defender fund or to establish an independent office of a police prosecutor. The cops should not benefit from their own crime.
