I came across a new word "advertorials." Basically it is an advertisement disguised as a News Article. Tully and The Star has been engaged for decades in this type of "reporting." Most of these "advertorials" are obvious to the reader. It features what appears to be news article, but it is sponsored advertising, such as the wonders of new space heater, or a new petrochemical blend that increases your gas mileage.

The case of Tully and The Star it is the selective reporting they engage in for Crony-Capitalism. I have to wonder does Tully simply receive an outline with orders to fill in the details?? Is he a Manchurian Candidate that is he really believes what he writes??

How can anyone actually believe that the Professional Sports Model is a viable economic plan?? It's very first requirement is millions of dollars collected via taxes to support the Model. Is the Professional Sports Model self-sustaining?? Not even.

The city could have modified the RCA dome for soccer. But there's no chance for graft unless things get torn down and rebuilt.

IUPUI's soccer stadium holds 12,000. It's being modified now, and will have Fewer seats.

It's hard for this to sink in, but the goal of those in power is to turn Indiana into Detroit. Most resdents living hand to mouth, government employees do well, the rich and powerful live like royalty. Bob Grand is Indy's answer to Yurinovich.

Indy Eleven cannot make money. Period. Which begs the question why is it being undertaken? Think about that long and hard. Why would a business entity be set up to mix a bunch of public money with some money from a private business owner? Why is Indiana the Ponzi scheme capital of the United States? Once you figure out the answer to those questions, everything else falls into place.

I like Tully's logic that Ozdemir isn't getting a handout since revenue derived from ticket sales and newly generated taxes. It conveniently ignores that this money isn't going to the local government but is being diverted to pay for the cost of the stadium. Not to mention, as pointed out numerous times by Ogden, none of the math Ozdemir presents adds up. If he's so damn certain this thing will be as profitable as he says it is, why doesn't he obtain a loan without state help?

This whole thing is stupid and the CIB is going to have to backstop the debt with their revenues. So when the team goes belly up in a couple of years and there isn't the tax revenue anymore, the CIB can go crying for another bailout.
