The language used by Abercrombie, it exists in the archives "written down", was inartful, if not perplexing. He is well aware of the controversy adn what is under dispute. He either deliberately made a statement to keep the controversy alive, which some of us believe has been a strategy of David Axelrod and Obama along, or he couldn't lie with a straight face about his surprise at what existed in the archives. Abercrombie has also flat out lied about knowing the Obamas as a married couple with young Barry. The fact is she was enrolled in college in Washington state thousands of miles away within two weeks of the recorded date of birth for Barry. There is no evidence Stanley Dunham ever lived with Barack, Sr., who was already married to another woman in Kenya and could not have legally married her. She left the state and he later left Hawaii to attend Harvard. He never was present as a father in his life. The media ignores all of the relevant points of his biography that don't fit the bullshit story contrived and sold to the American people about this man. I suppose it is no different in retrospect than the morally corrupt leaders of the Roman Empire that ushered in its crushing downfall and the ignorant masses that tolerated them.

In their first of the two confirmations the former head of tghe department of health and former head of the department of vital records stated that they had looked at Obama's file and that there was an original birth certificate in it.

Abercrombie did not say anything different. That was an indirect quotation by the reporter saying that there was a "recording" in the file, indicating that she or he was not taking notes and did not have a tape recorder on. The word Aberrcrombie probably used was "record." Although this does not specify that it was an original birth certificate, it does not say that it was not. In any case, it is unlikely that Abercrombie is contradicting the two Republican officials.

As for his backing off on the idea of releasing the original. He has already said that he is having the attorney general look into the matter. Doing it may require changing the law.

Curious what people think. Do you think Hawaii will be able to turn up a COLB signed by the attending physician for President Obama?

I tend to believe the Kenyans who excitedly claimed early on, when Obama became an American politician, that he was born in their country.
