I agree the ad doesn't provide much information. (It's virtually impossible to do that in a 30 second spot.) But it's cute, easy to remember, and it has a self-deprecating tone to it. People love that kind of thing.

I am not of Beth White's political affiliation, not at all an adherent of her liberal political philosophy, and I will never vote for her but I have to give her the credit she is due... White is an effective, ceaseless campaigner and also what I call a "seamless" campaigner. I've witnessed her cleverness at weaving puff-tidbits about herself/all she's "accomplished" into many of her interviews where the interview topic is ostensibly about some public issue. And I'm not saying that's entirely bad... she's just damn good about always being "on". I've questioned if her office needs that many signs ubiquitously proclaiming her name (especially during voting registration and early voting in her department's office space.

Anon 1:36 usually has intelligent things to add to the conversation but I was lost on the snarky low information dig and, of course, toss in Rush Limbaugh (or George Bush) when you need something to back up a self-serving statement that may not have much fact to it.

Anon 3:58 said it better than I could have (and with more brevity)... if you REALLY want to see actual life low information voters they are not on Limbaugh's program... go to YouTube or Google and search Obama voters... I've never seen such incredible morons who know absolutely nothing about government, civics, and the people these lo-fo's enabled to power to the ruination of this country.

I have seen the ad once. It is a very cute, very effective ad.
Of course, it fails to mention her party, her priorities, or her past.
And I concur with this blog. It is the perfect ad for lo-fo voters, because they form their opinion from this ad alone, and do no research at all.
And to Anon 1:36 PM, if you google search "obama voters," on YouTube, you will see what lo-fo voters are.

I am not a low information voter and I love the ad. Everybody in my household knows who Beth White is because of that ad. Highly effective. Don't smear us as low information. The only people who use that term "low information voter" are Rush Limbaugh supporters, and its derogatory. Listen to the callers to his show and you quickly determine who's low information.
