You're right. The entire legislative process has been so bastardized by the corrupt people who populate Congress. Most members of Congress have no clue what they are voting on at any given time. They only have the little arrows provided to them by their puppet masters indicating which way they need to vote to keep their campaign dollars flowing and the illicit funds flowing into their personal bank accounts through any variety of schemes concocted by the Washington establishment to circumvent public bribery laws. Everyone elected to Congress now becomes super wealthy in a very short period of time, which they clearly don't earn from their generous congressional salaries.

This is what stinks about how things work in Washington... look at the title of this bill:

"A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to allow Federal law enforcement officers, firefighters, and air traffic controllers to make penalty-free withdrawals from governmental plans after age 50, and for other purposes."

That whole "and for other purposes" should be banned and a germaneness test applied to all bills. Will that happen? F--- no! This is how the gotcha game is played. Take two polar opposite bills, slap them together. It is true - laws are like sausage. Its never pleasant seeing either being made. Remember - the original Obamacare was an amendment to an FAA Reauthorization bill. This is why we never have nice things.

Flogger is correct. The multinationals own governments and treat the people of the world as chattel. Bernie Sanders won't fix it. He wants to, but they will kill him before he gets close. They will kill anyone who is a serious, legitimate threat.

If you want to beat them, you have to fight a guerilla war. Stop buying their crap. Stop doing business with them. Enlist the help of others...anyone who can think. Start with the TARP banks who raped the American people starting with Paulson/Bush and have continued unchallenged by The Great Divider. Every freedom loving American should be doing everything in his or her power to lessen their reliance on Big Money, Big Oil, Big Pharma, Big Ag, etc. because at the end of the day these people and companies will destroy everything and everyone who stands in their way.

I have thought and I believe been proven correct the goal of the Multinational Corporations has been to export to Third World Sweat Shops. If you cannot export the jobs bring the Third World here. We have over the past twenty vast numbers of undocumented workers entering the USA. At first they were unskilled labor, the purpose of them was to drive down wages. The assault continues with "Skilled" Labor being imported into the USA, once again the idea is to suppress wages.

Quite simply the Multi National Corporations have no loyalty to any country. They will be laws unto themselves.

We've all for a century been in a dream state, politically asleep at the wheel, working hard as hell, going about rearing families, paying mortgages, having our money stolen by politicians in the form of "fees and taxes", etc., while we allowed those politicians of all parties transmute America into the socialist soft police state it is today. The United States was "transformed" long before The Messiah was placed as a figurehead.

Gary, GREAT post! What we have going on in DC far as I can see is a repudiation of our US Constitution in favor or a "union" like the now-faltering, debt-ridden European Union. That the salvo in DC is being led by the likes of Paul Ryan- protégé of bleeding heart liberal Republican Jack Kemp- and John Boehner, and Mitch McConnell- is no surprise. America is being changed by a long term soft invasion both major parties desire and all these three RINO's can do is continue the damage.

If I were one of 5th Congressional Seat Holder Susan Brooks's subjects, I would be screeching at the top of my lungs to find out why Susan Brooks is in favor of the dilution of our nation. I have to wonder if 5th Congressional residents who voted for Susan Brooks realize just how liberal Democrat-lite she is!
