INDIANA’S ELECTRIC UTILITY INDUSTRY
1 …..First by petitioning the (IURC) Indiana Utility Regulatory
Commission to re-open Cause #43663 aka tree trimming to
evaluate the impact of the lack of compliance with the new law.
2…..Secondly, to petition the Governor and the State legislature
to hold public hearings….on the following (see the petition)
A. Defective title insurance affecting 4 million Hoosiers.
B. Discrimination within Indiana’s property law affecting
approximately 1.5 million Hoosiers.
C. Illegal utility policies and practices that have existed for
decades in which utilities skipped securing utility easements
affecting 5-700,000 Hoosiers with a value in the Billions of
dollars…..there are thousands of IPL property homeowners
here in your neighborhood affected by these practices.
D. The lack input from any neighborhood group, city, or EVEN
the Utility Commission over where utility’s can Build or
relocate their facilities….NO OVERSIGHT PERMITTED!!!!
E. One Senator, Jim Merritt (R), Chairman of the Senate’ Utility
Committee has been blocking public Hearings on the above.
In His private job, he has very close Business ties to IPL and
refuses to recuse himself. It is one thing to have a difference
of opinion it’s another matter to cover up illegal policies and
practices…Corruption?? Conflict of interest???........ LASTLY
F. The IURC can not fine any electric utility for any violation
No matter how serious! The effect no enforcement power

Back…Senator Merritt is up for re-election and needs to be
