What a load of bullcr*p our not-so-fair mayor shoveled at us on the news yesterday. Hey, Greg, tell your bossman, Herb Simon, that if he wants more money, to go collect it himself, not demand it from us taxpayers, ya hear. What other arena can the Pacers run too, but ours. Simon and Ballard are hardly fooling anyone with this charade.

There was an apparently hugely successful UFC event there recently. It seems there's a very large audience for this genre of fighting.

It is reminiscent of the days when boxing and wrestling were big draws to the Tyndall Armory -- only on a much larger and more lucrative scale.

I bet we could cash in on that and pack the house several times a week every week. They had people from several states away who came here for that one event.

It would be great to get all the facility rental, all the concessions and all the parking.
