My math must be fuzzy because an IMPD internal memo that was sent out accidently earlier this year shows we are short by at least 125 officers. There are numerous unmanned beats on any district at any given time. There are at least 100 officers who are retiring in December and everytime you turn around someone leaves the department unexpectedly. Remember when Bart said that by CONsolidating we'd not have to hire the 200 deputies that Sheriff Frank said they needed? He should no longer be talking about something he no longer leads.
