I ran in the primary against the slated candidate, and won. I then went on to lead the Democrat county-wide ticket, in Nov., 2000, almost winning though the then county chair, Steve Laudig, was a very difficult individual, and not very helpful.<br /><br />After having won two primaries, without being slated, and another time, getting more votes than one slated for judge, to show support for the decent Ma. Co. Democrats, I did pay the slating fee in 2004 and 2008. Thanks for letting me here clear up the points that artfuggins and Michael made above. All are running in 2011 and I believe that the democrats will not nominate any of them. I remember when the GOP nominated a candidate for congress whose wife had to call the police to protect herself and their daughter from his agressive behavior. We still don&#39;t know the extent of Plowman&#39;s difficulties. What cloud did Ike Randolph leave under? The bottom line is that neither party has a monoply on sleaze.
