Thank you again for reporting on this, Mr. Welsh. A terrific Christmas present for this Indy taxpayer would be an FBI investigation and seeing these people put where they belong - jail.

Maybe this is the reason our local news media never presses the mayor with tough questions - nobody wants the world to see what an incompetent boob he is. $18M is a small lease? Such lack of respect for the public and our tax dollars is unbelievable. And yet more evidence that this administration can't be trusted to secure a deal potentially worth $1.5B for the justice center.

Exactly who promotes Ryan Vaughn? Exactly who protects Ryan Vaughn as a future pawn piece? Exactly who moved Ryan Vaughn from his Ballard COS position prior to the others rats jumping from the Ballard ship?

And that is exactly what we see here... Ballard's ship is sinking... and sinking FAST... and like the Titanic (perhaps with similar girth as well)...

It took a court order to unveil Ballard’s, Merritt’s and Hunter’s corrupt ROC lease. Now we know why the GOP leadership spent so much effort keeping the documents from public view. Councilor Scales perhaps was the only Republican voice that tried to force disclosure. Is that why Hunter, Vaughn and Sandlin forced her from the GOP caucus?

The Republican city councilors knew about this corruption and did everything within their power to keep it from the public.

Will it take another court order to find the truth about the corrupt Criminal Justice Complex behind-closed-doors deal. This deal will grow from $408 million as presented and, in the end, it will more than double. It will exceed the cost of the Indy Airport or Lucas and put millions into the pockets of a few city councilors. Hunter and his pals Vaughn and Sandlin are pulling the strings on this deal. Are they hiding their ownership interests and logrolling. Just who actually owns these shell companies? What are their business relationships with one another?

The Criminal Justice Complex is just that: a Complex Criminal Enterprise without Justice for the Taxpayers.

But no one asked Ballard the question, was it a sound/good use of taxpayers money? I must admit, that this is the most emotion ever exhibited by Ballard. But this also raises some questions. It appears that the Mayor, not Straub (or the Chief), may have had more day to day oversight over IMPD. That type of top down micromanagement especially by someone with not experience is not good.

If there was one person left in Marion County questioning that Greg Ballard is the most pathetic figurehead Indy's seen in decades, this news article quickly dispels the notion. Our utter failure is now on display for all to see for what he was from the start... the guy never had a gram of leadership material to begin with. But he was a great tool for the law firm owners.

Jim Merritt, Tom John, Mary Moriarty Adams, Ben Hunter, Aaron Freeman, David Brooks, Ryan Vaughn, Susan Brooks, that these people are so highly paid and considered "elite" is itself a crime.

The ROC is working, well so did the Titanic for a while. Full speed ahead Captain Ballard.

Everybody wanted it, well at least those who matter to Mayor Ballard and his handlers. Just one more "Legacy Cost" of the Stupor Bowl.

It will be interesting to see if there are any results that will come out of this investigation.
