It is a rather narrow view, though.<BR/><BR/>Which oughta get him picked up by some newspaper syndicate, but it hasn't.<BR/><BR/>That market is pretty smart. They've evidently figured out that editorial cartoons are supposed to make you think, and maybe chuckle. I don't think it will happen, but we would all be better off if it did. One of my better collegiate friends is a cartoonist, started withi Dayton newspaper, now syndicated internationally. In that community, Varvel is not respected.<BR/>If he were, he likely wouldn't still be in Ind,y and even if he were still her, he'd have more of his work syndicated. It's not.<BR/><BR/>One word sums up most of his cartoons: mean. Another word?
