Interesting that Todd Young's campaign (ie Trevor Foughty) bought a Google banner ad campaign defending himself on this petition controversy. I haven't seen a fundraising email yet ("Help Defend Me against the liberal onslaught!") but I'm sure that will pop into my mailbox in the next couple of days.

I don't blame the Stutzman campaign for piling on, as Gary stated - these petition rules are made to control ballot access by the PTB. Back when I was a MarCo PC I was "advised" on signing these petitions for statewide office as they "could be used against me".

Oh well, I'm sure Young will land on his feet....

When I lived in Indianapolis, I went to a Stutzman fundraiser when he first ran for congress. He assured me he was going to sleep in his office and commute home every week so he could ensure is children were raised here in Indiana with "Hoosier Values." And so he could spend weekends in his district.
I was dismayed to read in the Star that he and his wife were shopping for a new home in Arlington, Va. within 2 months after he won the seat.
What a hypocrite. In my view, he's no better than the departing Dan Coates, Evan Bayh, Dick Lugar and other Hoosier politicians who use the state as a convenient polling address while they get rich on the public dime. I think Hoosier voters get the representation they pay for.

Ah, so now we have a "bi-partisan" coming together on that "common ground" duh media is always so happy to see. Where amity presides alongside the rule of reason and the outcome MUST be certain as the matter was settled by science. Fundamentalists need to shut up and "move along" as "progress" has a path known but to duh media. Indiana gets another "win win" and we wonder why there is even a meeting to be had since enlightened opinion has already decided the matter as it did recently with the kerfuffle in Hamiliton County where "fleece as white as snow" prevailed over the evil machinations of elected PC (sorry about the allusion to Charlie White). We used to have a saying, down on the farm (we have lots of them in Indiana), "Like a Hog on Ice". This useful view has been replaced with the Mike Pence On Ice Show complete with unforced prat falls, uncertain direction, untalented support staff, and constant iterations. If only Indiana Republicans could just settle on having one useless Wizard of Oz hiding behind the screen (behind the scenes as they say) we could help the Tin Man, The Strawman, the Cowardly Lion, and, the new contestant, the Elephant with no Brain and No Spine.
