Actually the Miss America contest has pretty much slipped to low minor league status in comparison to the Miss USA contest. The Miss America contest is so lacking viewers it wasn't picked up by the major networks and is now only shown on a cable TV network. I can't remember which one, but as I recall it's not even a popular cable networ. Whether one is trashier than the other I don't know. The Miss America contest is definitely not as popular s the Miss USA contest.

There's a disconnect here and I'm not sure who is disconnected. Isn't the presumption that terrorists are fundamentalist Muslims? But that would certainly preclude them from supporting her participation in these activities, at the least. So, maybe terrorists aren't fundamentalist Muslims? Or, her family aren't supporting her?
