He describes the tendency for rich guy Republicans to assume a countrified persona (e.g., Fred Thompson: lawyer-turned-actor-turned-Washington lobbyist-turned-country boy; GWB, the son of President and Yalie a'workin' on the ranch in Texas) and why it works with that constituency.
