Murray Clark is "Establishment" only inasmuch as he comes from families that are nobility of both GOP & Dems in Marion County. He was always principled as a State Senator, & he was good at raising money for the State Committee. I'd gladly vote for Murray for Mayor.

Murray is an establishment Republican insider from the past. He represents all that is wrong with the current local and state Republican party.

Pat must personally know Mr. Murray; I've only been able to view his speeches and backslapping at insider Republican events. I don't see him as one who is inviting to "other" types.

A "pleasant personality" is the criterion of electability? Obama generated buzz about his "pleasant personality" all the while being reported by those in the know as a cold fish. And so Murray has "ideas"??? Really. Ballard had ideas and that's worked out well, hasn't it?

Murray can ably connect with his establishment friends but he will never be capable at connecting with the Marion County electorate as it is today.

zero "realness" to attract Marion County voters after eight years of petulant, arrogant, exclusionary and aloof Ballard.

Clark as Republican candidate would cause a vortex of votes to the Democrat candidate who at this point is presumably Hogsett.

Let's face it... the MCRCC and the "GRAND" old party have inflicted so much damage to their brand [and they know it] that the very best candidate for this City who could overcome that damage and attract votes across every sector is Christine Scales.
