S. as the constitution clearly states. Lugar lost his residency be terminating it. He sold the property and moved out. He could make argument if he had a place to live, that he was gone on U. S. business. But by his act of selling it, having no domicile in Indiana, and residing outside the state, he clearly cannot use the constitutional argument. It is clear the constitution was intended to allow him to serve the U. S. and not have his residency questioned (if he had a residency). Once Lugar gave up his residency and had no domicile, that provision of our state constitution no longer applied.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/12703782/559198410417489809/comments/default/2566544922402453593'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/12703782/559198410417489809/comments/default/2566544922402453593'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://advanceindiana.blogspot.com/2012/03/lugar-sues-marion-county-election-board.html?showComment=1332287664902#c2566544922402453593' title=''/><author><name>CircleCityScribe</name><uri>https://www.blogger.com/profile/12691157547732269477</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='16' height='16' src='https://img1.blogblog.com/img/b16-rounded.gif'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://advanceindiana.blogspot.com/2012/03/lugar-sues-marion-county-election-board.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12703782.post-559198410417489809' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/12703782/posts/default/559198410417489809' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty name="blogger.itemClass" value="pid-1278520698"/><gd:extendedProperty name="blogger.displayTime" value="6:54 PM GMT-5"/></entry></feed>
