I keep hearing &#39;public safety tax&#39;, &#39;folks are willing to pay more for public safety&#39;, and how we need to eliminate the homestead credit before asking the legislature for more &#39;tools&#39;. Kenley may or may not be holding the mass transit referendum hostage - his real hostage target may be some taxes that the Council could increase by themselves and that have been brought up to him in private.<br /><br />I see where the Star went so far as to mention that its former owner was party to the mall loan turned conseco fieldhouse loan. Next editorial, maybe they&#39;ll mention that their current parent company bought out their former parent company.
