The state's constitution requires the governor to reside in Marion County. He had another home in Marion County before his election to governor which he could have chosen to live. He chose to move into a new home he built in Carmel to reside instead after moving out of his other Marion County residence. He can use the official residence to entertain guests and conduct official business. Because it is state property, he's not allowed to use it for fundraisers.

Count me among the voters and politically active now ruing my support for the skunk named Mitch Daniels. His goal, his only goal, is to advance himself politically and financially. The shrimp really believes he is POTUS material? Please. Like Pence, Daniels is the ultimate insider concerned with his attaining more and not much else other than helping a few cronies here and there rake in some taxpayer lucre.
