He's up for re-election next year and we'll get to hear him talk about how he's kept his Indiana roots while in DC and he's always done the peoples will as senator. The problem is, the peoples will he's doing is for the senators from Massachusetts and California. His opponent will point out that he will vote with the left in his party on major issues and will have the occasional vote against on meaningless issues. He will then accuse his opponent of making "surrilous personal attacks" against him and his family, just like he did with Marvin Scott in '04.
