Thanks so very much for clarifying your position. Sadly enough, you seem to be in a very exclusive minority when it comes to agreement with the "I have been doing a wonderful job" performance review.

I'm so sorry to hear that you recently broke your wrist. I too, have had a similar injury, but still managed to find the strength to show up at the office during that stressful period in my life. I can only hope that the pain medication you must be taking isn't clouding your judgement too badly.

I am very reassured and pleased to hear that you have four wonderful employees ready to serve the public. Still, I find your usage of the term "we" somewhat misleading, as in fact, you don't seem to be able to be at the office during regular office hours. I think perhaps that "they" or "My underlings" would be much more suitable, in this particular case.

I wanted to mention that I am recovering from a broken wrist, and the doctor removed the cast Thurs. However, I am now in a position to do everything I can to protect my very competent staff from being hounded or harassed. We are devoted to public service.

Hi. This is attorney Mary Catherine Barton, and I am the Marion County Surveyor. I do not like blogging because people often anonymously say such cruel things about each other. I am an independent, think that I have been doing a wonderful job, and do not intend to resign.

I am sorry if I have embarassed Marion County by choosing to set my own hours, but after taking office four years ago, corporate counsel did notify my office that I could do so. Please feel free to call me at Room 1922, City-County Bldg., 327-4153. I am recovering from a broken wrist, but do not intend to allow my staff to be harassed or hounded by parties that do not mean us well.

Sadly, my devoted excellent technical supervisor, David Pruett, died last week. I miss him so very much. He gave me much strength and confidence, and I had his full support. I still have four wonderful employees and we are there to serve the public from 8 am - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. My issues are government accountability, fiscal responsibility, and democracy. Thanks for covering current events.

Sounds like Barton has sour grapes after losing the primary and just plans on picking up a paycheck for the rest of the year.

Kind of like Republican Congressman Bob Ney, who announced that he "would resign" months before he actually did, or a host of other poor public servants.

Frankly you guys should be proud that we Democrats booted her in May.

Typical of 'The Evil Empire' (Democrats) to fail to address the issue: "Bones" Ackles is incompetent, has cost this city (you & me TAXPAYERS) $400,000.00 in a court finding that he is a militant RACIST, who broke anti-discrimination law!

Search warrants served at his office, theft of OUR TAXPAYER-OWNED property, inept management, corruption...and, the worst: INCOMPETENCE! That's right, Ed Treacy's man for Coroner, "Bones" Ackles, was determined INCOMPETENT FOR OFFICE by state issued standards! He could not pass the required test for Coroner.

"Bones" is suing US TAXPAYERS to force US to pay him a salary while he holds office for which he is INCOMPETENT.

Treacy, if you do not demand the resignation of "Bones" Ackles, then I call you a hypocrite.
