If 10,000 people come downtown 50 times per year, the $10 million subsidy amounts to the city spending $20 per visitor to have them attend a Pacer's game.

Has Ballard considered instead standing on monument circle and handing out $20 bills to anyone travelling from more than 10 miles away? They could spend the $20 dollars and a few more to attend a Pacer's game, go out to eat at one of the downtown restaurants,buy a few beers at a downtown bar, spend money at the Colt's shop,... Think of the boom that this would bring for downtown businesses.
