Various news reports are now talking about how this trio had broken into many homes over the past year in various parts of the city, including apartments in Westlake where they lived together and the short period they lived at Cottages At Fall Creek. If I were IMPD, I would be holding my head in shame that three young men who aren't all that sharp were able to go on a crime spree spanning a long period of time without being stopped despite long rap sheets that indicated their proclivity to commit brazen home break-ins. News of these types of crimes is what is driving the great exodus of people from Indianapolis into the suburbs. It's quite clear the leadership of this city cares more about lining the pockets of a handful of downtown insiders than protecting the lives of its residents. Mayor Ballard's 8 years has been a disaster when it comes to public safety.

Not sure what I think anymore. I was sure that Pastor Davey was somehow involved in his wife's murder, and I'm still convinced that he's completely innocent. Even if he wasn't involved, one thing is for sure. He is as creepy as they come. He appeared more interested in hitting the talk show circuit than in grieving his wife and mother of his child, not to mention his unborn baby girl. As to Davey Blackburn, I find it odd (to say the least) that the police reveal the front door of their home was unlocked and this allowed the killer(s) inside.

But to the killer themselves, what kind of sick, twisted animals do we have running loose on the streets? To call one's self 'The Kill Gang' and murder a pregnant woman for a few dollars?

Sadly, there will be no widespread protests for #WhiteLivesMatter. There will be no forceful rejection of this kind of thuggery. There will be a trial. Probably life sentences not death penalties. People will soon forget it happened.

There is a considerable weakness in the judges of Marion County and part of it stems from the bribes they pay in order to be slated. Once you go down a slippery slope it gets easier. One can also blame the "libertarian" fixation on the rights of the individual as being against the rights of society and the victims. We need a RFRA like law to instruct judges to try cases and keep the expenses down. Back in the day murders were often tried inside a few months.

You are correct Gary (8:23). As for Anon (8:08) I did have a quick minute of self chastisement regarding my own suspicion of Davey Blackburn as culpable- but only a quick minute. Most authorities find it IS the husband who often is the perp even when the guilty husband is initially allowed to remain free.

But Davey B's behavior before, during, and subsequent to his wife's and his unborn child's deaths makes no difference in how I view the guy. With all due respect to his loss, the guy is a real piece of work. And that's being kind.

His own pastor-mentor, Perry Noble, cast a dark shadow over him when he referred to him during Amanda's widely-watched memorial service as "Crazy Davey" and described him as "not right" until he met Amanda.
