It's possible that was actually the charge for the services performed directly by Faulkner, which was probably direct mail. I don't have as much of a problem with that if that is actually the case. But when almost 90% of your expenditures is claimed by your campaign consultant, it appears to me you have completely outsourced the functions of your campaign committee to an outsider. That makes the campaign finance disclosure statement meaningless on the expenditure side because we have no way of knowing how the consultant expended those funds. What really bothers me is where some of the candidates will show big payments to a firm you've never heard of when you ask around town who it is. That makes you wonder if the payments are simply being laundered through an entity to reach an intended recipient which the candidate doesn't want you to know about.Gary R.
