The Northern District has multiple instances of Democrat election corruption, Democrat township officials brought to justice, etc. No significant accomplishments here!

What bothered me was the fact that Hunter blurted out later on in the meeting about the State Police's investigation. He knew about it, but the committee's chairman had no knowledge of it. Given that he should be considered a potential target of the investigation, the fact that he had learned of it before others makes me question the integrity of that investigation. If he knew of it because he had been questioned by State Police investigators, then he should have used that as his cue to step down from the committee.

It also seems clear to me that Ben Hunter is more properly a witness and definitely ought not to be on the council’s investigating committee. If indeed there is an ongoing criminal investigation, that investigation might conceivably identify wrongdoing by Hunter. He’s really a man who ought to retain criminal counsel for himself at this point, not a man who ought to be investigating wrongdoing by others. If the Indiana State Police are investigating, it is possible that a prosecutor or judge may eventually convene a grand jury. The truth needs to come out. I’d like to get Carroll and Straub under oath and hear testimony, but first maybe somebody ought to get Straub on a lie detector machine. There are definitely documents being withheld by more than one party. One just senses the deception runs deeper.
