Former state health commissioner Woodrow Myers has upped his personal spending on the 7th Congressional District primary race to $1.6 million.
Myers, a multimillionaire, reported to the Federal Election Commission Tuesday that he has loaned his campaign $356,000 on top of nearly $1.3 million in previous loans.
The real concern to voters in the 7th District is why so much special interest money and contributions from people who live outside the 7th District is flowing into Carson's campaign--the guy who promised "bold leadership" free of control by "DC lobbyists and corporate CEOs." Check out this highly sanitized dribble Groppe gives you on Carson's fundraising:
Carson has reported receiving about $150,000 in contributions since April 16. Much of the money came from Democratic members of Congress and political action committees representing such interests as mortgage brokers, insurance agents and wine and spirits wholesalers.
Once again, if you want the rest of the story, you're going to have to read this blog. There's no mention of South Florida fundraisers or large sums of money Carson is taking from the financial services industry to influence his votes on the House Banking Committee. Groppe continues to withhold Carson's financial statement from the public until after the May 6 primary. Shouldn't we know how much money Carson got paid during his short stent working as a lobbyist for a city contractor while serving on the Indianapolis City-County Council? Will someone in the Star's editorial office please order Groppe to do her job?

But you see...she IS doing her job.
That's how the liberal media CONTROL and MANIPULATE politics, instead of reporting on it.
The PAC and lobbyist money concerns me more than the self-financing, honestly. It just proves that Carson is more of the same, which proves how hypocritical the Obama endorsement was. C'mon Indy, do whats right... dont vote for a name, vote for a change!

Andre Carson's fundraising is on line including the 48 hour notice contributions...instead of worrying about Carson, it might be more enlightening to find out why after 1.6million dolllars of his own money that Woody Myers still trails by a significant amount.
It's simple, Wilson:
1. People often lie when polled.
2. People can be too stupid to see the 'voice of change' isn't a change at all.
3. People haven't woken up to the fact The Kid is heavily indebted to out of state politial influence peddlers.
4. People are are just too stupid to figure out what #3 means.
5. or perhaps 'sheeple' is more than a concept, it's a reality.
Lest you forget, Barton was ahead in the polls for most of time and, well, sorry 'bout that Wilson.
Lastly, the 'trails by a significant amount' is only on one part of the poll stats that includes the other candidates who are fighting for last place. In the other head-to-head, it's a dead heat.
Wow, if art isnt Wilson, they definitely read from the same talking points. ;)

Now see Gary, this is news you can use.
Stop the 6 degrees crap with Obama, and focus on real news. I don't think your rumaging through the transcripts of Tony Rezko's trial is producing anything news worth. Don't you think the GOP is already scrutinizing stuff enough? If there is something to be found against a democratic Presidential candidiate, I assure you either Clinton or the GOP would be on that like flies on poo!
Interesting (from http://fec.gov):
Woodrow Myers

The Kid is suckling 50 times more juice from the PAC money teat than is Woody.
WOW! This is 'free of control by DC lobbyists and corporate CEOs', eh?
The interesting thing is that you published the same info on our blog on Tuesday night that you are giving Groppe hell for writing about on Wednesday.....double standard???

Yep...there's that CHANGE Carson keeps talkin' 'bout.
...and again, I have to mention how hypocritical Obama looks for endorsing Carson, with the PAC numbers like that. Absolutely sad. My votes will be for Woody and Hillary on May 6th.

You are going to vote for Woody Myers who testified before Congress against the Patients Bill of Rights....he is a puppet of the medical insurance companies.
Art - it then seems BOTH are puppets to someone.
:)
Wilson, your guy is a puppet for those PACs who gave him over $500k. Awful funny for you to be accusing someone ELSE of being a puppet!
