No Endorsements From The Star For Local Offices?

Am I missing something, or doesn't the Star typically endorse candidates for county offices? I realize most people don't care who their county coroner, treasurer or land surveyor is, but given the past problems we've had in these offices, it would seem the right thing do to help inform the public about who the candidates are in these races and to make a recommendation. Also, the only contested judicial race is for circuit court judge. Again, no endorsement here. Why?
