Rupert Boneham of "Survivor" fame has formed an exploratory committee for a potential run for Indiana governor as a Libertarian candidate. "I have spent my entire adult life serving my community and I see an opportunity to make a difference for Indiana," Rupert writes at a
Rupert For Governor website he has established. Surveying the current crop of candidates for the office, Rupert says he does not "see anyone that has an understanding of what daily life is like for many Hoosiers nor anyone who appears to understand the harm that misguided government policies are doing to our communities." Rupert plans to spend the next several weeks talking to Hoosiers about his potential candidacy before making a final decision to launch a campaign for governor.

I think Rupert would make an excellent Governor.
I decided after Obamacare passed that any vote for any candidate other than the Republican candidate is a vote for the Democrat.

Go Rupert! You can't be any more out of touch with Hoosiers than our present Governor - or the one likely to be the GOP nominee.
Some would say a vote for a Republican is a vote for a Democrat,and vice versa.
Heck,Obama care was invented by the Republicans.
Why the hell not? If Minnesota can have Jesse Ventura, why not Rupert for Indiana?
I'm nice. I have served my community well over my lifetime. I might even look better than Rupert in a tie-dyed wife beater. I'm a survivor of many of life's trials, but never won a million dollars because of it. I would be the first to say that I am not prepared to maintain this State's economy, or lead it forward in a way that benefits its citizens. Neither is Rupert. Let's not let our frustration and even disgust with some elected officials and their decisions lower the bar so much that we'll vote just any one in. We already made that mistake in '08.
It is great that someone who is not a professional politician, but a community activist and youth volunteer like Rubert Boneham is willing to give Hoosiers another choice for governor in 2012.
As far as comparing Boneham for Governor, L. to Minnesota electing Ventura, Independent Governor of Mn, in the July 4 issue of the American Free Press, "AFP Visits Again With Jesse Ventura", Victor Thorn writes about that interview:
"Ventura spoke of the time when, shortly after becoming Minnesota governor, 23 CIA agents paid him a visit. 'They escorted me down into the basement and formed a half-circle around me,' Ventura chuckled. During their interrogation, they said they just wanted to 'learn things,' like how I got elected. They didn't see it coming, and they didn't want it to be repeated.'
Amazingly, Ventura only raised $300,000 during his gubernatorial campaign, and after being elected, he accepted no PAC money, no special interest money, and never once met with a lobbyist.
As to the secret of his success, Ventura explained, 'I didn't run against their candidates, I ran against their parties. If this country is ever going to be saved, we need to abolish the two-party system, he emphatically said."
