This shocking video titled "Worship As A Weapon" of a sermon message delivered by Pastor Davey Blackburn at his Resonate Church illustrated with the use of a gun was recently uploaded to the church's YouTube channel. [Note: If you're having trouble viewing the video from this page, click through to YouTube here and begin watching the video at the 45:00 minute mark.
UPDATE: Local certified fraud examiner Greg Wright raises a valid concern. Blackburn's Resonate Church rents out the theater at Northview Elementary School owned by Washington Township Schools. "Did Davey Blackburn break the law by having a firearm on school property?" Wright, a former Washington Township school board member asks. "He sure did."

I admit I "bit" and clicked on the YouTube link. This guy is so obviously a self-absorbed charlatan I had to... just had to close the browser. More than ever I am of my first gut opinion this carney barker is not a completely innocent man when it comes to the hideous murder of his pregnant wife. That anyone on that cul-de-sac could speak so admirably of this Barnum and Bailey sucker is unbelievable to me.
He posted this after his wife's death? Good Lord.
Did Davey Blackburn break the law by having a firearm on school property? He sure did.
His church services have been held at Washington Township's Northview Middle School according to his website.
I just sent an email to MSDWT Superintendent and her head of security to comment.
I'm speechless. This was after his wife was murdered? Davey Blackburn is despicable.
It was uploaded to YouTube after Amanda was shot. I believe the actual church service took place before the shooting.
He sure knows how to butter up the congregation.
To clarify, this was excerpted from the sermon that Davey Blackburn preached at Resonate Indianapolis the Sunday before his wife was murdered.
A link to the full sermon, entitled "Worship As A Weapon" is here. At 45:03 in the sermon video he prefaces the display by telling his audience, "don't worry, this is an airsoft gun."

Why hasn't IMPD released the 911 call Davey made to report finding her shot?
Good question. You would think our local media would have been clamoring for it a week ago.
And airsoft guns, anon. 5:20, still fire projectiles that can cause injury, although non-lethal. If a student brought one to school, they would be expelled.
Airsoft guns are replica firearms, or a special type of air guns used in airsoft, that fire spherical projectiles of many different materials, including (but not limited to) plastic, and biodegradable material.
They still hurt and can take out an eye, but should not be confused with BB guns which shoot metal BB's. It would be very rare that an airsoft gun could break skin.
And to be sure, if a student brought one to school, they would be expelled. But is it illegal for an adult to have at school???
Greg Wright - can you provide us with an update on "Gun-gate" since you're the one who reached out to the MSDWT Superintendent and her head of security regarding the offensive sermon????
Surprisingly, no one has pointed this out, but the pastor's waving around of the gun during the sermon struck me as a very phallic gesture.
Those of us who've lived in Indianapolis long enough know that our local news media is nothing but a propaganda machine for the police department. Until they get permission from IMPD to talk about something, you're only going to read in the newspaper or see on the local TV news stations what IMPD has spoon fed to them. Notice how none of them are clamoring for IMPD to release the 911 call.
I was recently reminded of something i read not too long ago about muslims infiltrating churches to get info on pastors, such as where they lived, their family details, where their kids go to school. So if this has a muslim tack to it that may be why impd is reticent about releasing details. Just sayin.
An Airsoft gun is NOT a "firearm" by definition as a projectile is required to be expelled by an explosive force. A prosecutor would NEVER bring charges on this. Check the Indiana statute on this before going conspiracy theory....
Completely asinine, Josh.
Grow up people it's an illustration. Peril that try to find something wrong have nothing better to do
Obviously the young man does not have the requisite maturity to be a pastor.
Gary, have you tried a FOIA request for the 911 call?
No. It would be pointless since the police and prosecutor assure us they've got their guys.
