A former school superintendent was arrested in a park sex sting Tuesday in Johnson County.
John Coomer, 68, is accused of indecent exposure after he exposed himself to an undercover officer in a Greenwood park men's room, police said.
Earlier this year, Coomer was interim superintendent for Center Grove schools. He has also been superintendent in Bloomington and Greencastle.
Police said Coomer called the incident a misunderstanding.
"Generally, they'll be sitting in a car and an undercover officer goes in the bathroom," said Greenwood Police Chief Joe Pitcher. "He'll follow the officer into the bathroom and make some type of gesture indicating they want to do something indecent."
Walter Franklin, 80, was also arrested in the park sweep. Police said he has several prior arrests for indecent exposure.
These old guys are popping the little blue pills, and then they have to work it out. Their wives don't want anything to do with them so they troll the public parks looking for cheap, quick sex. I say ban the damn blue pill.

I think the little blue pill was a blessing to most who use it.
The park thing is the problem. Lets ban parks as well.
You're starting to sound like a democrat.
Ban all guns because a gun was used in a crime.
Ban all matches because they are used in arsons.
Keyboards kawz mispeld wurds.
Going into a mens room one might expect to see a penis, just like in a womans locker room, look and you might see some boobs.
Do the police bother to video these encounters for proof? Or are they so hard up (no pun intended) for an arrest to justify their existance, they play the "I'm a cop, I'd never lie" game?
Their efforts may be better served in getting the violent criminals off the street.
Like I've said elsewhere, keep your sex searches out of public restrooms.
As you well know, there are better venues for seeking out such encounters without doing so in public parks or public restrooms where most reasonable people would expect to be able to relieve themselves without somebody else soliciting them or waggling something their way.
I think it's a superlative idea to bust those creeps in public restrooms. They know what they're doing when they're hanging out in a known "lollypop park" and cruising for sex.
And to those who think it is wrong for the police do make these types of stings, let me ask you, do you ever go into these restrooms? If you do, does it bother you to see used condoms on the floor from where a sex act has occured? It bothers me, and it should bother every parent who has a young son who might happen upon two men locked in a below the belt oral experience.
so whats up with all these married men seeking sex with other men.
they think it isnt cheating. what do the wives think?
thats an angle of the larry craig story which wasnt covered:
Next on springer: married men(who may be straight? gay? or bi) who cheat on their wives with men(ditto)
and look ath who some of these men are: Upright(!) citizens - upstanding pillars of the community. chamber of commerce types....
and public sex shouldnt be illegal anyway, if no minors are around.
It was called Parking, after all.
location location location.
so go ahead- cop a feel- as long as your feel isnt a cop?
