Paying Respect To Our Veterans

Obviously, the Ryerson Red Star Rag doesn't recognize Veterans Day.
Sunday's lead story? "How Ballard Won."
"Honoring our Vets" confined to a small box story at bottom of page.
Lead stories Monday? Colts lose, and possible doctor kickbacks.
At bottom of page, article about homeless vets.
Apparently no one at this rag knows why this country is still free.
In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved, and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. — John McCrae
I would like to say THANK YOU to all who have, or are, serving. I enjoy my freedoms and living in the greatest country because you have stepped up to defend our nations beliefs.
