If you were wondering what folks in Alaska do to make those long, cold nights pass faster, perhaps you should ask 17-year-old Bristol Palin, daughter of Alaska Governor and newly minted Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Mama Palin just confirmed to the media that her kid is five months knocked up with plans to keep the baby and marry the father.
That wasn't good enough for Wagner's satirical taste. She came back later with this update:
The campaign referred to Bristol Palin’s boyfriend only as “Levi” in its statement announcing the pregnancy. There are rumors swirling on the Internets that he’s significantly older — perhaps by almost a decade — than young Bristol and that their relationship began three years ago when she was 13 or 14.
If this is the tasteless political commentary we can expect from WRTV, then perhaps folks should look elsewhere for their news. Oh, that's right, they already are. WRTV is dead last in the ratings just like Abdul's radio talk show. And didn't the station recently reassign its news editor after police seized his work computer in search of illegal porn? For the record, Fox News reported Levi's age as 18, not that it matters to people like Wagner.

I was quite surprised to see the MILF/GILF label in the article title she posted.
As I posted at a few places, why don't we limit criticism to people having premarital sex as having to come from people who never have and never tried to?

Hard to tell which TV station is worse. Channel 13 may have a better face on the screen, but their Media response is totally hardcore Leftist. I really don't see much difference between WRTV(6) or WTHR(13). Even Channel 8 spends too much time, wasting prime opportunities to ask hard questions by filling news slots with more fluff. The World's in dire straits right now, you'd think they would treat it with more importance than they do. Course, that would be bucking protocol. One simply cannot discuss issues of the day unless they can instantly blame those nasty Republicans!
AI .. One would think so, except maybe for the living in the parents basement playing XBOX full-time at 35 years old crowd.
Yeah, I suppose there are a few of those out there.
A responsible media firm would take Ms. Wagner off with a pink slip saying get some class.... She makes me feel terrible being a democrat and thinking this is what leads my party? Oh yeah! That's why I am not voting for my party these days....
New York Daily News also reporting he is an 18 year old that recently graduated the high school the young Miss Palin previously attended.
Not some 20-something like many of the left reported or, like Jen Wagner locally, repeated without verification.
I wish I could live in a world without facts. ;-)
If Abdul and Jennifer Wagner just disappeared, would anyone notice? Would they even care?

I wonder who the father of Jen's baby is? I mean, is this the kind of things we should ask ourselves in politics? The MILF/GILF lable is pretty 15-21 year oldish if you ask me.
The fact is, the left is pulling their hair out over this. This could actually cause a lot of average families to relate more to Palin. So instead of just discussing the issue of teen pregnancy, they want to throw around stupid questions about who the dad is, did the daughter have the other baby, is the marriage being forced, etc. etc.. Would Jen be giving high fives if the daughter had an abortion?
Flashback to U.S. Rep. Brad Ellsworth's campaign for Congress two years ago. Blogger Jen Wagner attacked blogger Josh Claybourne for blogging about then Sheriff Ellsworth's daughter being captured in photos posted on a myspace account engaging in underage drinking. Leave the kids out of it was her take then. I guess it just depends on the political party of the parent.
Wagner doesn't have a clue and when does family really have anything to do with politics? Does this make Gov. Palin a flawed parent? Maybe but Palin and her daughter look like saints next to the Kennedy family!

Do you realize you're revealing yourselves as viewers of internet porn by referring to "MILF" as an internet porn term? The only time I've heard the term is on a PG-13 movie called, "American Pie." Maybe YOU all see it on porn sites, but I'd wager that Ms. Wagner doesn't.
But more importantly, I disagree with you, Ms. Wagner, and anybody else who has said or says that politicians' children should be left "out of it" across the board.
If there is a legitimate policy reason to disclose the information, the kids, and their stories, are fair game. Here are some examples, some hypothetical, some not so much:
(1) The media learns that a pro "mandatory minimums" congressman has a child who is arrested for selling drugs;
(2) The media learns a pro-Iraq war congressman has a son serving in Iraq (sorry, John McCain and Joe Biden, but the American public deserve to know that you have a lot at risk in your decisions about military affairs)
(3) The media learns an anti-gay agenda VP has a daughter who is gay;
(4) The media learns that a prominent elected official who talks constantly about his faith and love for his ailing wife fathers a child out of wedlock (confirming details about child's birth, at least, are fair game);
(5) The media learns a pro-life elected official takes his 17-year-old daughter to get an abortion;
(6) The media learns that an elected official who earmarked funds for autism research has an autistic grandchild;
(7) A congressman who advocates student loan forgiveness has twin, freshman daughters who have first-year debt of $100,000; and
(7) The media learns that a prominent elected official who advocates abstinence-only education has a teenage daughter who is pregnant.
Any of these is fair game, in my opinion, and if the politicians want a sanctuary of protection for their children, they can return to private life. But don't expect us to ignore obvious conflicts between your private biases and shortcomings and your public duties and the public pronouncements that got you elected.
