Bayh Votes To Confirm Tax Cheat As Treasury Secretary

The Senate voted 60-34 tonight to confirm the nomination of Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary, notwithstanding the revelations that he cheated on his taxes and employed an undocumented worker as his domestic housekeeper. Sen. Evan Bayh voted to confirm Geithner, while Indiana's Sen. Richard Lugar joined most Republicans in opposing his confirmation. Several Democrats joined Republicans in voting against Geithner, including Feingold (D-WI), Byrd (D-WV) and Harkin (D-IA). Independent Bernie Sanders also voted no.

What else would you expect from Bayh?
It's just so sad that the lemmings in this state still have not figured out that he is an extreme liberal.

I would expect no different from the empty suit. He's up for re-election next year and we'll get to hear him talk about how he's kept his Indiana roots while in DC and he's always done the peoples will as senator. The problem is, the peoples will he's doing is for the senators from Massachusetts and California. His opponent will point out that he will vote with the left in his party on major issues and will have the occasional vote against on meaningless issues. He will then accuse his opponent of making "surrilous personal attacks" against him and his family, just like he did with Marvin Scott in '04. And the sheeple will believe him.

Of course Bayh would vote for a looser. He is as worthless as a Senator as he was as Governor!

Didn't the DemocRATS run a GOP cabinet pick off for the same basic charges that this guy?
