It was a wonderful ceremony and the weather was ideal.
I was shocked to see my rep, A. Carson) rushing from the steps of the War Memorial while his counterparts, Rep Burton and Rep Pence were completely engulfed with veterans and others who wanted to talk or shake their hands. Rep Carson could only muster fewer than a half dozen who didn't stick around long, either. Heck not even Wilson did, but maybe he had to rush back to download his pics.
The level of the applause said it all when Andre, Burton and Pence were introduced. On a 1-10 scale, Andre was a 2-, Burton was a 5 and Pence was a 7+. The difference between Andre and the others was measurable. After the service Pence cared enough to walk among the spectators and servicemen and introduce himself. I overheard him thank several of those watching the parade for their service to our country. Where was Carson?... as usual he was MIA. Downtown Indy your photo speaks volumes.

Carson runs away
I stuck around maybe 5 minutes more and the throng was still there waiting to meet the other two representatives.
