Alito To Obama: Not True
It's not the "you lie" outburst that U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson made during President Obama's last address to Congress, but Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito can be clearly seen mouthing the words "not true" in response to President Obama's condemnation of last week's Supreme Court ruling striking down corporate spending limits in federal campaigns during his State of the Union address last night.

Boldly, President Obama spoke the sad truth here, and Justice Alito's denying otherwise, by his head shake, again makes me proud that one of our Indiana senators voted against his confirmation, namely, Senator Evan Bayh.
Why are those idiotic judges wearing robes to a suit-and-tie affair? My God, was that tacky - and threatening.
We need to bring these judges back to reality. They're just government employees. We need to stop this silly nonsense of calling a biased governmental referee "your honor," and we need to stop the deferential business of rising when one of these tax-feeders comes in the room.
Not that I follow national politics too closely, but I was surprised that they attend at all. I guess the most senior member of the court, Stevens, makes it a practice not to attend the State of the Union.
I do agree with Cato on the attire too. It's kind of like a doctor wearing his lab coat out in public. And trust me, NOBODY likes that guy.
Some of the conservative blogs have been talking about how Reagan trashed the Democrats in one of his SOTU addresses. Was this similar in tone?
Politicians should have the names / logos of their 5 largest sponsors tattooed on the forehead. Updated every 6 months. Laser removal.

Obama would be better off in Venezuela. To attack an independent judiciary in a purely political manner, in a setting in which the judiciary can not respond, is clearly despotic.

@Michael - I think you need to look up the meaning of "despotic." It doesn't mean what you think it means.
I should also point out that Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II all criticized the supreme court in their SOTU speeches, with their criticism being about abortion.
How many times did the Bushs criticize 'activist' judges solely to score political points, and then ironically appoint the most activist justices on the Supreme Court. The setting of the SOTU is the perfect one in which to propose legislation to limit the foreign influence in our elections which the Court's decision permits.
Justice Ginsburg was clearly terrified!

Judge Ginsburg voted on the side of the American public on this issue. She should be proud and we should be proud of her.
Alito, Scalia, Roberts, Thomas, and Kennedy (all Catholic, nominally, at least, and all appointed by Republican presidents) voted to tighten the grip of corporations over our governing bodies, and Stevens wrote a strong dissenting opinion.
What does being Catholic have anything to do with this??? Did I miss something?
