According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and "lockdown", under which movement is severely restricted.
Mr Stevens had been on a visit to Germany, Austria and Sweden and had just returned to Libya when the Benghazi trip took place with the US embassy's security staff deciding that the trip could be undertaken safely.Making the situation even worse, The Independent's sources claim that sensitive intelligence documents were taken during the raid on the Benghazi consulate, including the names of Libyans who are working with the U.S., while other documents relate to oil contracts. I notice that this report includes a fairy tale story of how Stevens was supposedly rescued by good samaritans from the burning consulate while he was unconscious and taken to a local hospital where he died from smoke inhalation, even though we've all seen the photos of the mob parading his corpse like a trophy.
Mr Stevens, it is believed, was left in the building by the rest of the staff after they failed to find him in dense smoke caused by a blaze which had engulfed the building. He was discovered lying unconscious by local people and taken to a hospital, the Benghazi Medical Centre, where, according to a doctor, Ziad Abu Ziad, he died from smoke inhalation.Yep, this story was obviously planted in the media by Obama's CIA masters in a desperate attempt to lay the blame at Hillary's doorstep to protect Barry from the fallout of his disastrous foreign policy decisions in the Middle East. It was quite entertaining today hearing Barry talk about Egypt no longer being an ally, albeit not an enemy, after he helped push out the government that was an indisputable ally of our nation so the Muslim Brotherhood could seize the reins, only to leave his handlers scrambling to walk back his statements.
President Obama: "I don’t think that we would consider them an ally, but we don’t consider them an enemy."
White House rejoinder: "I think folks are reading way too much into this," Vietor said. "‘Ally' is a legal term of art. We don't have a mutual defense treaty with Egypt like we do with our NATO allies. But as the president has said, Egypt is longstanding and close partner of the United States, and we have built on that foundation by supporting Egypt's transition to democracy and working with the new government."This gaffe comes only a day after he accused Mitt Romney of having a tendency "to shoot first and aim later." If Egypt isn't an "ally," then why are we sending billions of dollars to them in foreign aid that we don't have to give to them? ''
Remember Hillary's 3:00 AM political ad that her campaign used against Obama during the 2008 presidential primaries? It looks like they're still feuding over who is more prepared for that call.

That Democrat hag is responsible!
The President's political mishandling of this situation has been astounding. Either Clinton would've seized the political initiative and responded with military force. In short, either would've used our diplomats' murders to look strong, decisive and presidential.
This doesn't mean that I would've approved of said military action, just that I do believe that the Clintons -- being keen political operators -- would've shrewdly used the situation to their advantage. I am surprised that Pres. Obama has not done so.
"We came, we saw, we killed," Hillary, as Sec. of State, was heard cackling on tv, referring to the tribal warriors she supported having publicly tortured, sodomized, and killed Libya's elderly leader, Muammar Gaddafi. She and Obama deserve each other.
