The Circular Firing Squad Begins

The New York Times reports Justice Department prosecutors are recommending that felony charges be brought against Gen. David Petraeus for providing classified information to his mistress while he served as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Gen. Petraeus is no war hero, and he without question betrayed the American people and the soldiers he commanded long before he betrayed his wife, but leaking self-serving classified documents is not the crime for which he and others of his ilk deserve to be put on trial. Who is going to prosecute President Obama for leaking self-serving classified documents to Hollywood filmmakers to dramatize the fable he oversaw the capture and killing of Osama bin Laden? If these narcissistic elitists want to destroy each other in a circular firing squad fashion, who are we to stand in their way? They all deserve the death penalty for their unconscionable betrayal of the American people. No penalty can come close to compensating the people of our country for the harm they've brought upon us.
