Pence Determined To Lose Re-Election Campaign, Will Endorse Ted Cruz
Gov. Mike Pence will upset many Republican primary voters today by endorsing Ted Cruz's presidential campaign. It will have no impact on the race, which Donald Trump is poised to win, and Pence gains absolutely nothing from the endorsement. The people who support Cruz already make up the backbone of his narrow, electoral support. What it can only do is further alienate him from already disaffected Republicans and aid in the election of John Gregg. Support for Cruz's candidacy has been collapsing for weeks now. He cannot win in open primary elections, only in closed-door, party caucus elections. He has no viable path to winning the nomination. This is another totally bone-headed move by Pence.

Thank you Governor Pence. You are a TRUE Conservative. I will be donating to your campaign as soon as you announce.
Much as I hate to admit it, Gary, your analysis about Ted Cruz's chances make sense.
I do not for a minute believe Donald Trump is all he says he is or can do all he says he can do or that he will even carry through but Trump is the one who is attracting the votes... people are seriously damn mad and he is voicing their frustration and disgust with the establishment, the White House, the US Congress, and a "Republican" Party that just will NOT listen to the people (the people do not have as much money as political PACS and foreign owned corporations).
So Pence supports Mr. Cruz (who does appear to be a Constitutionalist))- even though Cruz seems to be unable to connect with everyday men and women voters.
On the basis of being unable to connect with everyday men and women voters, well, it looks like a damned good match to me.
Checkout IBJ.COM. Yesterday Pence was arguing that his emails as Governor should be exempt from Public Records Law!
Pence just lost his re-election. There's really nothing more to say than that.
He would have been smarter, in my opinion, to have taken sides in the campaign for Senate. Does he still take orders from Gannett or not?
And how is this supposed to help Cruz? If, as I suspect, it's to get the evangelical vote then Cruz as well as Pence are delusional. Pence and the GOP controlled state legislature threw the evangelicals under the bus when they didn't have the balls to stand by the protection of religious freedom in Indiana. The GOP in Indiana is as slimy and hypocritical as Cruz so it's no surprise that Pence endorsed him.
Keep waving that bible up high and lying Pence, you two bit hypocritical sell out bastard!
They have something in common. They know how to alienate loyal republicans with their poor communications and management skills.
I thought that unusual as well to shelter all his emails during this very BUSY time in Indiana politics. Obviously does not want anyone to know what is in them. Pence has lost the women's vote based on the abortion law, sacking his Lt. Governor (the lady with some common sense and love of Indiana), and his constant attack on public schools, teachers (lots of underpaid women there), wasting taxpayers' money, AND the RFRA and his refusal to support basic civil rights for all Hoosiers. Does he have any base left?
Pence is a crappy Governor and he's going to vote for a crappy candidate. The bottom line. Their deep love for a fictional, talking head in the sky, white Jesus. Good riddance to them both. Separation of Church and State. Becomes more important every year. Cruz and Pence. Primitive bastards.
"by ELIANA JOHNSON April 29, 2016 1:19 PM @ELIANAYJOHNSON Indiana governor Mike Pence on Friday offered up the most tepid endorsement of the campaign cycle. In an interview with WIBC radio, he announced that he’d be voting for Ted Cruz in Indiana’s primary on Tuesday, which is a make-or-break contest for the Texas senator. He had a roundabout way of announcing his support. “I particularly want to commend Donald Trump,” he said, for calling attention to the job losses Hoosiers have suffered. “I’m not against anybody, but I will be voting for Ted Cruz in the upcoming Republican primary.” He concluded: “I urge everyone to make up their own mind.” It sounded more like a concession than an endorsement. For a couple of weeks now, Pence has been under intense pressure to take this step — from his old friend and fellow former Indiana congressman David MacIntosh, now president of the Club for Growth; from Republican donors like Paul Singer and the Ricketts family; from National Review as a whole and Jonah Goldberg in particular; and from Scott Walker, who gave Cruz is full-throated support, campaigning with him and cutting ads ahead of the Wisconsin primary last month. For Pence, it was always a choice between backing Cruz or staying on the sidelines. He faces a tough reelection contest in November, and since he signed the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act into law a year ago amidst public furor and badly mishandled the response, his approval rating has suffered, particularly with women and business leaders. Torn between his conservative friends and his political future, and with a critical primary just days away, Pence offered up a half-hearted endorsement that would pacify the former — if irritate them nonetheless — while not endanger the latter, at least not too much. " BUSINESS LEADERS????? Hmm. NIFB has 14,000 owners in Indiana....nuff said?

The religious liberty guy endorses the religious extremist.
Wow! what a shocker
Goodbye Pence...John Gregg has his hand out waiting for the keys to the Governor's House.
Mike Pence thinks he is boarding Noah's Ark with Cruz. Sorry Mike the name of the ship is the Titanic you are boarding with Cruz, but hey maybe their ByAbulls will keep them afloat.
That was a BAD move by Mike Pence. It assures that my support for him ended today.
Pence, Cruz and Fiorina are perfect for each other. They are the most dangerous people in this campaign for religious freedom by wanting to enforce every American to live under their strict, narrow view of what they believe Christianity should be. And by wanting to force every American to be Christian. They are the opposite of freedom.
Pence is a good Hoosier. He does what he's told to do, even if it means falling on his own sword. Some of you may respect that. I think it's stupid.
It seems so clear as glass that the party is using Cruz to destroy Trump and once he's done that or failed, they will destroy Rafael himself. He has zero chance. There wold be blood in the streets if they stole the nomination from the guy with 1200 delegates to give it to the guy with 600. Not going to happen for lots of reasons, but mostly because Boehner only said what they all think of him.
If the elite can derail Trump, there will be a white knight candidate. It won't be a constitutionalist or a conservative (both of which Cruz isn't, by the way). It will be a Bushie. Whoever they choose will have to be incredibly popular....probably a military guy. Given that, I hope Trump squishes the bug Rafael on Tuesday night and then names Jan Brewer to be his VP ahead of what comes next. Especially after that charade in LA today.
Pence needs to go.
I was going to give pence the benefit of the doubt this election after he sold out to the corporation and rescinded RFRA but he flat lost me this time. Pence doesn't deserve my vote and he won't get it now. Pence is a corporate whore.
He couldn't even endorse Cruz like a man. Hoo boy, say hello to Governor John R. Gregg come January 2017. Hell, the GOP may even lose its supermajority in the legislature (they'll keep majorities, but not super).
Yes, let us board Pence's Ark as mate Charon guides us past Lucifer's protector, the HP deity Styx, across the fabled river to bow down to the great deceiver and reap the fruits of Armageddon.
Once again Mike Pence proves that he is a medical miracle by having no spine! His endorsement was so lukewarm it could cure insomnia!
Personally, I think that Mike will be reelected. Btw, check out the article posted Thurs. at VeteransToday, by Jonas E. Alexis, "John Boehner: Ted Cruz is 'Lucifer in the Flesh and a Miserable Son of a Bitch'."
Talk about praying to mythical gods. There is no such thing as "separation of church and state" in the U.S. Constitution, despite the prayers of American Marxists.
