GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump
described in vivid detail how he could bribe delegates if he wanted to go that route in assailing just how corrupt the Republican Party's nominating process has become:
Look, nobody has better toys than I do, Trump told reporters at a hotel on Staten Island, where he pressed his case the system was rigged against him. "I can put them in the best planes and bring them to the best resorts anywhere in the world."
But Mr. Trump said it was unseemly.
"You're basically buying these people," he added. "You're basically saying, 'Delegate, listen, we're going to send you to Mar-a-Lago on a Boeing 757, you're going to use the spa, you're going to this, you're going to that, we want your vote.' That's a corrupt system."
It's already happening in Indiana where several of the delegates chosen by state Republican Party leaders this month before Indiana Republican primary voters have even voted are accepting favors from the billionaires who pretty much own the Republican Party leadership in this country and are funding the anti-Trump Super PACs.

Look, like Ogden, I do not like the way National delegates are chosen in Indiana. I prefer to allow State convention delegates to select the RNC delegates. That being said, I find no fault in the current slate of delegates announcing their opposition to Trump. They are bound during the first vote anyway.
Nothing would be more inimical to the federalized system of the Republican Party than to allow a presidential candidate to name his or her delegates to the RNC.
What binds them? Republican principle? LOL as they say. Looking over that list of delegates did anyone else notice lots of upturned palms? I suppose if Mr. Cruz wins the Indiana primary ye R cretins will also be "bound" but not to Cruz, nor will they be held to account by those Indiana Republicans whose preference for President will be DEMONSTRATED via the ballot box.
“Corrupt and crooked,” is how Trump described the delegate selection process. He could also be describing the Campaign Finance System in general. The McMega-Media defines candidates "elect-ability" by how much money they raise in campaign contributions.
Left unsaid is how these contributions effect the candidate. I do not think people contribute large sums of money to a campaign, PAC or Super PAC because they love Representative Democracy. The donors are making an investment in a product, in this case the candidate, that will support the contributors ideology.
I see Jeb is skipping the convention. There's a reason...Jeb wants to be far away when the decision comes down "from above." I'd not what you're reading. This is gonna be fun. Trump2016
